Beautiful Decor, Done Responsibly
At Partistry Balloons, we believe a showstopping installation and a sense of responsibility aren’t at odds. We’ve spent years refining how we design, source, and clean up so your event looks extraordinary and treads a little lighter. Here’s exactly how we do it — no greenwashing, just the real practices behind every build.
Real Latex Is a Natural, Biodegradable Material
Most people are surprised to learn that classic latex balloons aren’t plastic at all. They’re made from the sap of the rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis) — a natural, renewable resource harvested much like maple syrup, without cutting the tree down. Because it’s a natural material, quality latex is biodegradable, breaking down over time the way an oak leaf does rather than lingering like plastic.
That said, “biodegradable” only matters if balloons are handled responsibly. So we have a firm rule: we never do balloon releases. Released balloons become litter and pose a hazard to wildlife, and no design is worth that. Everything we install stays part of the installation — and comes down with us.
We Use Professional-Grade, Tested Materials — Not Cheap Imports
There’s a world of difference between the balloons we use and the bargain-bin, mass-imported balloons and novelty “shine” powders sold cheaply online. Those cut-rate products are often unregulated, with little transparency about what’s actually in them. We don’t take that risk with your guests or our team.
Partistry sources professional-grade balloons from established, reputable manufacturers — the same trusted, quality-controlled materials used by certified balloon artists worldwide. It costs more, and it’s worth every penny: better color, better durability, safer materials, and a cleaner conscience.
Designed to Use Less Helium
Helium is a finite, non-renewable resource, and global shortages have made that impossible to ignore. Here’s the good news: most of our signature work doesn’t need helium at all. Organic garlands, arches, columns, walls, ceilings, and sculptures are all air-filled and built on reusable frames. They hold their shape for days, travel well, and don’t rely on a scarce gas. When a design truly calls for floating elements, we use helium thoughtfully and sparingly rather than by default.
A Surprisingly Small Footprint
One of the best-kept secrets of balloon decor: a massive, room-transforming installation compresses down to remarkably little once the event is over. A garland that framed an entire stage, or an arch that wowed hundreds of guests, typically pops down to a single bag at the end of the night. Compared with many single-use event décor options, that’s a genuinely light footprint for a genuinely big impact.
We also reuse our hardware — frames, bases, and marquee letters are all part of our kit, used again and again across hundreds of events.
Our Cleanup Promise
Every booking includes professional teardown. We don’t leave a mess for your venue, and we don’t send balloons skyward. We take our materials with us and dispose of them responsibly — so the only thing left behind is a great memory (and some incredible photos).
Frequently Asked Questions
Are latex balloons biodegradable?
Yes — real latex is made from natural rubber tree sap and breaks down over time, unlike plastic. What matters most is responsible handling, which is why we never do balloon releases and always remove our installations after your event.
Do you do balloon releases?
No. Balloon releases create litter and harm wildlife, so we never offer them. Every installation stays contained and comes down with our team.
Are your balloons safe and high quality?
Yes. We use professional-grade balloons from established, reputable manufacturers — not cheap, unregulated imports of unknown makeup. It’s better for your guests, your photos, and the environment.
Do balloon installations require a lot of helium?
No. The vast majority of our work — garlands, arches, columns, walls, ceilings, and sculptures — is air-filled and built on reusable frames, so it uses little to no helium.
What happens to the balloons after my event?
Our team handles full teardown and responsible disposal. A large installation compresses down to about a single bag, and we take it all with us.
